Kitchen Remodel - View To Dining

Kitchen Remodel.

This kitchen remodelling project was shaped by a simple brief: to create a more social, flexible space where family gatherings could unfold naturally and connect with the garden. The previous dividing wall between the kitchen and dining areas was removed, allowing both rooms to borrow space from one another—creating a larger, more adaptable zone that comfortably accommodates the whole family during special occasions.

A new kitchen island sits at the heart of the space, offering a generous work surface for preparing meals and a relaxed setting for informal conversations. The layout improves day-to-day usability while supporting the social rituals of cooking, eating, and entertaining.

In response to the clients’ love of gardening, the design incorporates ample shelving and hanging space for indoor plants, helping to blur the line between inside and out. The intervention is modest in scale but reflects the House Form approach: making more of existing spaces through cost-conscious, well-considered design.
